Default call handling for users with hotdesks

We have customer where their primary device is their desk phone.

Desk phones are also configured as hot desks.

Setting up a new user, and it seems their default call handling just rings the RingCentral App.

We would want it to ring the desk phone at the same time by default.


Also, it appears the user would need to have activated themselves and logged into a phone, before we can change this setting for them?


Hopefully I am missing something here.

Hi Tim, it is not possible to ring the deskphone and app simultaneously by default because the extension's deskphone needs to be set up first.

Answer: This is also the standard process for activating a user's deskphone.
