I am having an impossible time trying to get support for an issue on the new app. Since having installed the newest version, I can no longer listen to my voicemails on my headset! I have reached out to customer support, who only verified that I had all the correct settings in place, and suggested I post here. This has been quite disappointing. IF I do want to listen to a VM, I need to do so via my computer speakers. Sure wish the dev team would address this quickly. The old version worked like a charm in this regard.

moving question to 'Users' forum as it's unrelated to API.
I am unable to find where this question was moved to, but it was brought to my attention that my front desk is having the same issue since updating their software.
I too have a few users this is currently happening to. Not sure what the recommended solution so any feedback would be useful

Are they using the app on their computer? If they are using the built-in sound source from the computer, are they able to listen to the voicemail messages? Could we ask the affected users to try the web app version (https://app.ringcentral.com) and see if the behavior is the same?
@Crystal_
Desktop Application on their laptop. They are using a jabra usb headset for calls, with ringtone audio set to be from their laptop’s built-in speakers. All phone calls perform as expected. However, the voicemail comes out of the laptop’s built-in speakers. I have other users with the exact same set up that do not have this issue, and for the users in question this is a new issue.
I’m going to try a reinstall of the application to see if that resolves it, but if that does not succeed, I will test via the web app.
@deuker @Jacob Ames Solved this by going into Windows settings > Sound settings > Advanced sound settings > Set Ring Central audio to headset
