I am able to setup a meeting but when attempt to send it to recipients

it shows a dialog box with the message " The item could not be found"


I end up having to copy the invite info and emailing separately and it won't show on

the calendar.

Hmmmm....that's really weird. I would suggest contacting our Tech Support Team and include a screen shot of the error message you're receiving. As well as, step-by-step instructions of what you're doing so that they can troubleshoot
I did some digging and found a solution that was pretty easy.
From the command prompt:  outlook.exe /resetfolders
