Streamlining the application development process at RingCentral and bidding farewell to sandbox

The RingCentral developer sandbox environment has been with the RingCentral platform since the beginning. We created it for one primary reason: to better manage the risks of developers creating and deploying applications to our customers. Sorry I’m new here but I need assistance, this request to get a authorization url is coming back 200 response and it gives me a link, i click on the link and it goes to my companies actual page and then it says 404. ringcentral-python sdk gives 1000 bye responses from the websocket

I start up the websocket process to capture events from given extensions. The intention is to have a long running websocket that. IVR Limits?

I have an API workflow that updates an IVR with text….. I have found it does not like a dash, a comma, and now something else but idk what…. It takes the text but doesn’t update the audio on the prompt. Is there some docs somewhere that says what's acceptable and what's not? Main line routing to specific user softphone issue

We are using routing from main line to a specific user who handles all incoming calls. Here is our configuration:This user answers the call using https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-softphone-tsOur user answers the calls automatically everything works as we expected. But after some time when it’s running on our main line, someting weird starting to happens - our user is still answering incoming call, and start streaming the audio as before, we can see this in the logs, but on the phone we hear only silence for 5-15 seconds after that “I am sorry no one is available to take your call. Thank you for calling.” is playing and the call disconnected.We don’t know for sure when it’s happens, it’s super hard to reproduce, if it’s after exact time or maybe after N amount of the calls that were routed to our user, because it different each time we try it. Usually it takes ~ 25-65 minutes before it stop working correctly.When this issue happens in the dashboard the incoming calls marked as

CallOut using mobile/desktop app?

Hello, we have implemented a simple auto-dialer which uses the CallOut api to initiate a call on a specific device. It works great for any hardware phones that we have, but we are wondering if there's a way for it to work with softphones too? I got it working with the RingCentral Phone desktop app, but it doesn't appear to work with either the regular RingCentral desktop or mobile apps, or the RC Phone android app.Basically, the issue is that they never appears in the list of devices (using RestClient.Restapi().Account().Extension().Device().Get() ), or it always shows as offline. Is there something simple i'm missing, or is what i'm trying to do not possible?Thanks in advance!Andy

Calls not answered after idle time

Hello. We are using https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-softphone-ts for answering the phone. But after some idle time at night (like 12 hours or so) if we call this phone number the call is not answered automatically. this.softphone.on('invite', async (inviteMessage: InboundMessage) => {…}Could you please help us how we can make sure that we are answering the calls even after some time that sever is running?Thanks.

Bullhorn CRM and Contact Sync with RingCentral App.

Is there a way to pull my contact list data from our Bullhorn CRM to my RingCentral Application to identify any incoming calls or incoming SMS messages based on our Bullhorn CRM data?  Also to sync the contact data from our Bullhorn CRM into the RingCentral dialer or SMS field for outgoing calls and text messages without using the Tenfold extensions and solely utilizing RingCentral applications?

Why is the RC Deployment Tool version specific?

Could anyone explain why the new RC Deployment Tool is version specific? If its function is just to check the web for a newer version and update the RC App shouldn't it be completely separate and not include a version of the app?The FAQ for the Deployment Tool says that while the app stays current through automatic updates, the tool itself needs to be updated every quarter? We’re already updating RC about once a quarter now so this is not really an improvement.The tool should be separate so that updating it does not impact the user and does not depend on being able to force RC to close.

Google Contacts / MacOS Launch External App

We’ve identified a possible bug identified for the RingCentral MacOS app. We are running the latest version.We have our RingCentral app (Mac and iOS) synced with our Google Contacts (list of 8000 contacts). When our line rings, the iOS and Mac app always correctly displays the name of the client calling based on our integration with Google Contacts.However we have identified a possible bug when using:"Launch an external app or website for incoming calls"When launching an external app built and passing the full name and full number of the customer calling (%N and %P respectively) as parameters, the RingCentral app does not reliably pass the customers name when it is able to display it within the MacOS app absolutely fine.We have identified that the above works fine if the client rings for a second occasion, but on the first occasion the clients name is not passed in the parameters. Hello, OAU-141 - Authentication is prohibited due to an inappropriate user stateI’ve started getting these errors in production. It has worked fine for the longest time and I’m not sure what’s causing this. The first time I got it I stopped the process and waited several minutes before starting it again which worked fine. SendingFailed Triggered When Sending My Website Link Only

I am using Zapier for this API integration. When I try to send a test message to my phone with a link to the scheduling page on my website, I get the SendingFailed status. However, when I use various test links such as google.com, amazon.com, or even a small local company in my city like https://bendbeautyspa.com/ the test message always goes through. Is there something I’m missing? I’ve sent text messages with links to my website in the past but now this error code appears.

This free account was called the RingCentral Developer sandbox. Webhook 400 BadRequest

Hi,I'm working off of this article. https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/notifications/webhooks/quick-startand I get a /502 Bad Gateway error on my ngrok terminal and a 400 Bad Request on my Webhook-notification.js terminal.My code seems to be failing at this point in the subscribe_for_notification function.I also tried this tutorial and I get see a 400 Bad Request error but also a OAU-251 error instead. I error out during the login here. What is the correct process for integrating my application with RingCentral to send faxes?

I am a developer for an application where we want users to be able to send their contacts faxes. Currently, the way we have the integration with RingCentral built is that each customer needs to make their own RingCentral developer account, create their own private application in RingCentral, and then enter their own JWT token, client ID, and client secret into our application. This process is clearly too long and technical for an average user, so I was wondering how the process should work for integrating RingCentral into our application.After talking to a RingCentral rep, I was told that a correct step would be for us, the developers of our application, to make a public app in RingCentral that our users then utilize to send their faxes. Here is where I have some questions:1. If each RingCentral public app has its own client ID and secret that our application would use to communicate with it, do our customers even have to know of the client ID and secret at all?2. I am using the Call Log APIs and I want to deploy them on a server. Is there a way to create a refresh token without redirecting to a specific URL?

When I log in through the Call Log APIs, I am redirected to the URL that I provided in the app during the API setup.I need to retrieve the call log, then fetch the recordings for the calls, and finally download them from the ContentURI.Is it possible to authenticate without being redirected to that URL?Please help me with this issue.
