We are having the same issue here - we have a person with issues calling our office hitting random extensions - I'm a super admin and have blocked this user which I read should do a company wide block but its not the case - for now I blocked them on some of our main extensions but this leaves other extensions open - there should be a singular global block that happens company wide - this is a safety concern at this point and looks like its a feature that's been requested for at least 5 years.
Thanks for raising this. Just to clarify, blocking a number so that it applies to the entire company must be done at the main account’s system extension level. While Super Admins have a wide range of permissions, the block only applies company-wide if it’s placed on the system extension itself.
From the article here: Block phone numbers on your RingCentral account — If a Super Admin blocks a number on the main account’s system extension, the block applies to every extension on the account.
If you’ve only blocked the number from individual extensions, it won’t prevent the caller from reaching others. I’d recommend reviewing whether the block was applied at the system extension level to make sure it takes effect across the account.
