In the phone settings for Incoming Call Information, there is the option to turn on “Add Special number” to the end or beginning of an incoming caller’s caller ID to help identify the reason for the call.

I tested it with my un-related personal cell phone number after I changed this setting to “222” at the “End” position, but there was no difference to the test calling experience then before applying the setting.

My questions for the community is if others are using this or if attempts were made and it’s just not a popular function?

The 'Add Special Number' feature is designed to help identify calls by appending or prepending digits to the Caller ID. This feature was previously working in the old app, and currently the functionality may or may not work on the new app. This is because some carriers don’t support the ability to see special numbers. They may block or strip additional digits if they don’t match standard phone number formats.

We’d love to hear from other users—has anyone else successfully used this feature recently?

Additionally, there’s an open feature requests to bring this functionality back in the new app and to be available to all carriers. If this is important to you, consider upvoting it here:
