Can App Connect report on usage in a company?

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi there,

Is there any way to report on which users are using App Connect? I’m not finding anything in RingCentral that seems to allow us to get a report on apps being used, or a way to get that info from App Connect directly

@chrismorgan @rossonomous That is certainly possible. But perhaps you can tell me more about what specifically you would like to know? I would like to understand your needs in more detail before rushing off to design the feature?

Do you simply need to know how many people are using it?

Do you need to know more about what they are doing in the app?

Do you need to know more about how they have configured the app?

What kind of reporting and analytics would be useful? And, even if it seems obvious, help me to understand the purpose of each report you want to see.

@ByrneReese For me, it’s 85% about understanding usage and adoption. One of my key responsibilities is to deliver and embed new tech across the business. I hold sessions, produce training, etc., but having numbers to track adoption is always super helpful. If someone isn’t using the platform, we go and find out why and get their feedback. Maybe it’s lack of training, maybe they’re finding too many bugs, maybe they’re just a bad user; but without being able to easily see the data (and use this data as proof when needed) it makes it harder to embed change and new tech. But in it’s simplest, seeing a log of logins for each user is helpful.

Anything above and beyond this is then an added bonus. E.G Number of calls logged using the app, number of times the AI summary feature was switched on and stuff like this is all really helpful data to see and track. If you can go as far as seeing user-configured settings then even better from an administration and troubleshooting perspective.

Agreeing with @rossonomous on the main point just being able to see usage and adoption. I don’t need to see their config or what specifically they do with it, but it would be great to be able to show “we have X users using it”. As close as we can get to the service this is replacing, would be the most ideal solution, so ability to generate usage analytics of some kind would be great.
