Send WebHook with Emoji in Text

I'd like to send automated messages to a webhook and include an emoji in the text.
Example: Finished configuring the thing :sunglasses:
So far it just prints out the literal text. I've also tried things like "D:" which would normally translate to the "fearful" emoji but no luck. Does anyone do this currently or know how to get it to work?
