Is there any way to view or export the sms log?

For example, suppose you need to locate a specific text message which you received between say, 10 & 11 AM on 2018-Jun-15, but because you were tied up in a meeting, you cannot remember who it came from. How do you locate a message in that situation?

You could scroll back through your messages to that date but if any subsequent messages have been exchanged between you and the sender, the message you are looking for will no longer be displayed. If that is the case then the only way to view the Jun-15th message is to access the conversation history with that sender, but since you don't know his/her identity, you are left chasing your tail in a frustrating Catch-22.

For a voice conversation, it's easy to locate a call in a particular time/date range by logging into RingCentral then > Call Log > Detailed > specify date range. However, aside from scanning through the sms conversation history for every contact, I cannot determine any solution for the above scenario.

I am certainly not a developer but it seems that since all of the conversation histories are already stored in the app anyway, it is not unreasonable to request/expect an option to view a time/date range of messages (whether in the app or online), or at least the ability to export a simple list of the phone numbers (with date/time stamps) of sent or received sms messages.
