What is the Company Caller ID Name?
Your RingCentral company Caller ID Name (CNAM) is the name displayed to recipients outside your organization. You can assign a caller ID name to your entire company, a specific site within your multi-site setup, or an individual phone number.
What Problem does this Solve for me?
- Professional Image: It shows the business name or number, making your business easily identifiable to your customers.
- Avoid being marked as Spam: It helps customers know they’re talking to a legitimate business, reducing the chances of being mistaken for spam.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures businesses meet legal requirements for showing correct caller info.
How to Set Up Your Company Caller ID Name
- Log in to your RingCentral app as a super admin. To learn more about roles, click here.
- Click Company settings, then Company Info.
- Look for Caller ID Name, then click on the Edit button to enter or update your desired caller ID name.
- Enter or update your desired caller ID name. You can enter up to 15 characters max including spaces.
- Click Save and Publish.
NOTE: After changing your caller ID name, changes will take effect after 72 hours. Some carriers download data from the Line Information Database in real-time, while other carriers might download the updated data on a daily or monthly basis. To learn more, click here.
