Q: Our team uses RingCentral for calls only, can we use workflow builder for certain hours that we are out of office when we receive a voicemail or missed call it will send them a text letting them know when we are back in office and will call them?

A: Yes! In fact, that is exactly the kind of use case Workflow Builder was designed to solve. Setting something like that up can be done in less than a minute and can be customized to meet the specific needs of your company.

Q: What about a small start up can sync to another crm or spreadsheet?

A: Workflow Builder certainly has the ability to do that, but may require some additional technical background and know-how.

Another product that could help is App Connect, which is a framework for logging calls to CRMs. It supports six different CRMs right now (Bullhorn, NetSuite, Pipedrive, Clio, Insighty, and ServiceNow -- with FreshService coming in February), and we offer other CRM integrations through our Integrations team for HubSpot, Zendesk, Dynamics, and Salesforce.

In the next four weeks we will be adding a Google Sheets adapter for App Connect which will allow you to easily track calls in a spreadsheet.

Q: Is there a difference in App connect, and the current RingCentral app we have for our CRM (ZOHO)?

A: Yes. While they have a lot in common, they are technically all different products with different fundamental capability sets. 

  • App Connect is both an integration that supports a growing list of CRMs and a developer framework to help customers integrate with almost any CRM. 
  • Zoho has made their own proprietary integration with RingCentral. It can do many of the things App Connect can but is their own technology. 

Symphony is a white-labeled version of RingCentral. Itself is not an integration, but a core product.

Q: Are we able to pull AI call summaries from RingCentral Auto-activity syncs into Salesforce?

A: That feature is currently planned in the first half of 2025 for our official Salesforce integration.

Q: Is there a way to integrate the new note taking and transcription capabilities in RingSense with Zoho CRM? It'd be fantastic to add those to the call logs that currently integrate?

A: The Zoho CRM is built and maintained by Zoho. We therefore recommend you reach out to Zoho with this idea - it is certainly possible, and we would love to support them in integrating this technology into their product.

Q: Will workflow be available for each user account/voicemail to setup or is this only for group queues?
