My company uses RC phone lines for calls and texting conversational messages. While we use Sensehq to send mass text messages on the RC lines. However, once our TCR campaign was approved, our texting ability on RC is no longer available, Sense is fine and we can text on Sense.

I was told that we should not be able to text from both RC and Sensehq on the same phone line. Has anyone else run into this problem and is that statement true?

Thanks.

Hey, @Sgs I’m going to ask your question to our TCR experts. Will try to get some feedback. Give me a little to figure out who the right person is.

Okay, this is what I learned from our internal team:

Texting to and from a particular phone number may only be enabled through a single provider. If the customer is using a 3rd party SMS platform for SMS messaging, the numbers linked to that platform cannot be SMS-enabled via RingCentral.

The inverse is also true - if a customer has SMS enabled through RingCentral, all numbers linked to that campaign cannot be SMS-enabled via a 3rd party.

Thank. you for your response. However, I am a bit confused, our phone numbers are with Ring Central, but they will not provision our numbers after the TCR registration was approved. We are currently texting with the RC numbers through Sense Messaging. My assumption is that we will use the RC numbers for phone calls only through RC and texting will be done with Sense. Is that correct?

@Sgs Yes, that is my interpretation as well.
The SMS would not be provisioned with RingCentral if you are using Sense for SMS.
However, your calls would continue to be through RingCentral.
