We've integrated RingCentral with Zoho. As a result, I can hover over the Phone icon in a CRM record, and the phone icon will change to the icon and the word, "Call" when I hover over the icon.

However, when I hover over the phone icon for the mobile number field, it only provides the "Call" option, not a "Text" option. Accordingly, I have two questions.

1. How can I initiate a text message from Zoho CRM and have it record the call record, just as it does if I were to initiate a phone call from within CRM?

2. When using the Mac version of the RC desktop client, I can't search for the names of contacts in my CRM to initiate a text message, only an RC message. Is such integration possible?

Texting from RC by transcribing the mobile number fro CRM to RC seems archaic and error-prone. If telephone calls are integrated, I expect text messaging to be, too.
