I am in the US and have an employee in the Philippines.   I need him to be able to make calls using his computer laptop to our clients in the US.   We currently have our phone lines with Ring Central.  How can we make this happen?

Hi @Uncl Richi,

RingCentral requires a VPN for your employee, and here’s how you can ensure everything is set up properly:

  1. Connect to a VPN:

    • Your employee in the Philippines must connect to the VPN before using the RingCentral desktop app to make calls. Ensure they have the VPN credentials provided by your IT team.
  2. VPN Configuration for RingCentral:

    • Confirm that the VPN allows VoIP traffic and is optimized for RingCentral. Share the RingCentral Network Requirements Guide with your IT team to ensure the VPN is configured to support RingCentral’s ports and protocols.
  3. Testing and Performance:

    • Once the VPN is set up and connected, test call quality to confirm the connection is stable. Latency or call quality issues can occur depending on the VPN server location, so choosing a server closer to the employee’s location can help.
  4. RingCentral App Setup:

    • After connecting to the VPN, your employee can use the RingCentral desktop app to make and receive calls.
