Hi there,

I would like to see if anyone can help exaplning the setup/worksflow.

We have 2 phone numbers ported in to our Ring Central account which serve separate companies.

Phone Number #1 is advertised on website for Company A

Phone Number #2 is advetised on website for Company B.

They are not inter-related.

We would like to set up different greeting and IVR menu for each of these numbers so the customers can be greeted by Company A and Company B respectively.

Currently we’re on RingEx Standard, and we couldn't find this option, as it seems that only one IVR menu can be selected and have to be assigned to all numbers that was in the same Ring Central account.

I came across Multi-site features, but I can’t find it under our current plan. If there’s a need to upgrade to use this, how much is it? it not easy to find that pricing.

Thanks.

This can be done both with single site and multi site.

How to enable Multi Site

If multi sites is not available for you, here is how you can achieve the same thing with Single Site.

Step1 - creating the IVR menus
Phone System > Auto Receptionist > IVR Menus > here you need to have the 2 IVR menus created.

Step2 - call handling for Company A
Phone System > Auto Receptionist > General Settings > Call Handling > route it to 1 of the IVR menus
Note: this is the call handling for your “Company main number”

Step3 - call handling for Company B
Phone System > Phone numbers > All numbers > find the number for company B. Assign it to the other IVR menu

This approach has a drawback - you can’t set up a company schedule for company B - it will be 24x7.
If you want to have a company schedule for Company B you would have to use custom rules instead of what I said in Step3.
Company schedule means having different call handling for working hours and after hours.

Best to start with Mutli-site, even if you don’t think you’ll need it - as according to what happened with us early on - when we switched - it wiped out or IVR.

Don’t know if it’s still that way - just a heads-up.

Thank you both for the replies, and also heads up. Let me try the steps and see if that works.
