We are excited to announce the release of version 1.1 of the Unified CRM extension! This latest update comes packed with new features and improvements aimed at enhancing your experience. Let's dive into what's new:

Client Application:

  • Improved Messaging for New Users: We have updated the messaging to better guide new users on how to detect and connect to their CRM successfully, making the onboarding process smoother and more intuitive.
  • Retroactive Call Logging: Now, when automatic call logging is enabled, the extension will retroactively log up to 100 calls that were previously unlogged due to inactivity. This ensures that no important call information is missed.
  • Performance Enhancements: We have optimized the extension, resulting in faster and more efficient contact matching, improving overall performance.

Bullhorn:

  • Random Disconnection Fix: We fixed an issue that caused some users to be randomly disconnected from Bullhorn. You can now enjoy a more stable connection with Bullhorn.
  • Flexible Note Action Parameters: The permissible values for Bullhorn's default note action parameters have been updated to allow for greater flexibility and forgiveness, enhancing your note-taking experience.

Developer Framework:

  • CRM-specific Settings: Developers can now define CRM-specific settings in the manifest files, allowing for greater customization and control within the extension.

Maintenance:

  • We are still working to resolve an issue where the extension refuses to open upon clicking the orange badge, which we have traced to the termination or blocking of the extension’s "service worker" by Chrome. While the root cause is still under investigation, we have updated our logging to assist in the diagnostic process.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to comment on this post. We appreciate your continued support and feedback as we strive to enhance your experience with the Unified CRM extension!

In a recent demo and walk-through with a customer I found that Bullhorn users may benefit from doing a factory reset when upgrading to this new version. We observed odd problems relating to contact matching - initial failures and so forth, that were resolved after a reset.

@ByrneReese One thing I’m noticing with several users is that the Connect to Bullhorn button/action is quite temperamental and doesn’t work first time a lot. You click connect, another window opens and closes and it fails to connect. Normally end up having to close that tab, open a new one and click connect again.

This is after reinstalling the extension & starting fresh.

@rossonomous I have observed the same. The team is looking into this. The latest update to our Bullhorn adapter, and I hate to admit it, but it doesn’t live up to our quality standards. We have been pushing too hard as a team to address too many requests and issues at the same time. The remedy is to slow down. We are going to releasing bug fixes regularly, but new features will released more slowly and deliberately.
It would be helpful that if anyone else has problems like this, that they let us know. Please respond to this post and lets us know if you are having difficulty with Bullhorn.

@ByrneReese Good to hear. I’m keen to get this rolled out to approx 110 people but these little buggy issues means it won’t land well, and we won’t get adoption. Would much rather having it working really well with current feature set!

@rossonomous I hear you loud and clear. If possible, I would love it if you could recruit 4-5 people to help us test the extension within your company so that we can continue to identify issues that might dampen reception of the product internally. But I trust you obviously to do what is best for your company.

@ByrneReese I’m sure I’ll be able to help with testing to some extent.
