My company has a morning meeting everyday that is always recorded on Ring. I do not attend this meeting, but I do listen to the recording as soon as I can. I go into my RingAdmin site and search all meeting recordings but there is always a fairly substantial delay before the meeting recording shows up...like multiple hours. Any idea why there is such a huge delay? The meetings are only about 30 mins so I doubt it has anything to do with downloading size, etc.

Hi @kvhollingsworth The delay you’re experiencing in accessing meeting recordings could be due to a couple of factors:

  1. Processing Time: Even for shorter meetings, the system requires time to process, encode, and store the recording. This processing time can vary depending on server activity or the number of recordings being processed simultaneously.

  2. System Queue: If there is a high volume of meetings recorded at similar times across the platform, this can lead to delays in how quickly recordings are made available.

To ensure there are no underlying issues specific to your account or organization, I recommend the following:

  • Confirm with your RingCentral administrator if your recording settings are optimized.
  • Ensure that your meetings are set to record in the cloud rather than locally, as cloud recordings may sometimes process faster.

If the delays persist and seem unusual, kindly submit a ticket to our technical team to investigate further.
