disabling incoming call information

I need to disable all INCOMING caller ID information on 1 specific phone line. The line is for anonymous tips. I found documentation to set incoming call information but it doesn’t seem to change the caller information in the app. https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Set-incoming-call-information.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US

How do I make the caller ID truly anonymous?

Thanks

I don’t have an answer for the apparent discrepancy in the displayed callerID, but the idea of truly anonymous calls might be a challenge. The call logs and back-end systems will always have records of everything. Maybe that’s good enough, or maybe not?

The only way around that is to encourage callers to press *67 when making calls into your system, so long as you’re not blocking those calls that have no callerID.

A workaround….run the calls through a queue, then choose the appropriate option in display settings as shown below. That won’t fix the back-end logs but it will strip the callerID as the calls move forward.
