I would like to clarify how the RingCentral App works in the browser.
I initially thought I could use this widget as a supporting tool to properly connect RingCentral with our CRM system (Pipedrive). I received several different setup articles from support, but I still can’t understand how to configure it in order to achieve the result I need.
The main issue is that we manage all leads and contacts inside Pipedrive, and we need to track incoming calls and messages there. Sometimes call logs appear, but I cannot make it work in a way where an incoming call or incoming message automatically creates a new contact in Pipedrive.
I contacted Pipedrive support, and they explained that for this to work, RingCentral must create or send some kind of trigger/action into Pipedrive (such as an Activity, Contact, Deal, or another record). Without that, it is impossible to build the automation inside Pipedrive.
I have already enabled all logging options and configured the call log settings, but it still doesn’t produce the desired result (automatic creation of a contact in the CRM).
To clarify once again:
My goal is that every incoming call automatically creates a new contact in Pipedrive (if this phone number does not exist yet), so we can work with this lead further. Otherwise, I have to manually check the call log and add everything manually.
Could you please confirm if this is possible with the current RingCentral integration, and if yes, what exact settings should be enabled to make it work?
