We have some important updates rolling out today across both our Stable and Beta tracks. These changes are designed to give admins more "under-the-hood" control and provide better visibility into platform status.
New Feature: Manual User Mapping Re-initialization
(Available in both v1.7.12 Beta and v1.6.19 Stable)
Ensuring that call logs are attributed to the right person in your CRM is critical for accurate reporting. To help with this, we’ve added a new button on the Developer Settings page that allows organizations to re-initialize the user mapping process.
If you notice inconsistencies in how user IDs are being matched between RingCentral and your CRM, you can now manually trigger the automated mapping logic to refresh and repair those links. This is a big win for the reliability of your server-side call logging.
Improved Logic: Click-to-SMS
(Available in both v1.7.12 Beta and v1.6.19 Stable)
We want the interface to be as intuitive as possible. Previously, the Click-to-SMS button remained active even if the service wasn't available. Now, the Click-to-SMS button will be automatically disabled if the RingCentral SMS service is not activated for the user. This removes guesswork and prevents unnecessary clicks.
New: In-App Announcement Banner
(Exclusive to v1.6.19 Stable)
For those on the Stable track, you'll notice a new way we communicate with you! We are rolling out an in-app banner to help us get official announcements and critical updates to you faster. Keep an eye on the top of your app for the latest news and feature highlights.
