Pipedrive and RingCentral App Connect questions

I’m running into two challenges with App Connect and wanted to check if someone could provide clarity.

First, App Connect opens in a separate browser window, while the Chrome extension opens as a seamless slide-out panel within the page. The integrated experience is much more efficient, so I’m wondering if there is a reason App Connect isn’t designed to function the same way.

Second, all call notes, call data, call logs, and text logs are being stored only on the Person record instead of the Deal record. Since Pipedrive is an activity-driven CRM and most of the work our team performs happens from within the Deal view, this creates friction and makes it difficult to maintain a clean workflow. Nearly every third-party tool we’ve used has the same limitation, so I’m hoping to understand whether this is intentional or if there’s a roadmap toward making Deal-level logging possible.

If anyone can shed light on these two items, I’d really appreciate it. I’m just trying to keep my team’s workflow aligned with how Pipedrive is designed to operate.

@Frank Cascade

First point. We do have an item in our backlog to support embedded mode, but that’s not our priority for this quarter.
Second point. It should support Deal association. The quickest way to tell is, on your call logging form, you should be able to see this.

Could you tell me what’s your use case flow? So what pages do you go to and what buttons do you click to log calls?
