Hello,

I have been asked by my end users if it is possible to make the notes screen in Bullhorn populate while on the call, instead of the log notes screen in the extension, so we can use note templates and @ people to be notified from a note. Is this possible or is there a way to use note templates or @ people from the logging page in the extension?

Two other features we had on our previous provider were Voicemail drops, to leave pre recorded messages instead of saying the same thing over and over. This really save a tone of time, for example if you leave 50 messages at 30 seconds each, that’s  25 minutes saved to make more calls!

The other feature is an auto/power dialer, so when my end users are working off of a tear sheet in Bullhorn, this dialer will automatically call the next person on the tear sheet after a pre established wrap up time. This again is a huge time saver that makes it so my end users don’t have to constantly switch to new profiles and select the dial button, the dialer just moves along to the next person seamlessly.

If any of these features are available now, please let me know so I can get them rolled out for my end users. If not then I think these features would be a huge benefit and would really push the extension to the next level!

@JKrupski These are all very good ideas, and thank you so much for sharing them with us. A couple of notes:

  • VM drop - a frequent contributor to Labs from RingCentral developed a voicemail drop feature. It is a clever implementation, and it is my hope that we will be able to integrate it next year.
  • @mentions - this makes perfect sense. I will admit though, there are a few technical challenges that are RingCentral-specific that I would need to sort through. But it is certainly possible. Would you want to at-mention using Bullhorn or RingCentral usernames?
  • Populating the notes screen in Bullhorn - can you explain in more detail what specifically you mean by this? I am not sure I completely understand yet.

Hello @ByrneReese and thank you for the response!

  • VM Drop - is there a link that you would be able to share for this Lab Voicemail drop feature?
  • @mentions - Bullhorn user names would be ideal that way it’s the same if we use the Bullhorn notes or the RingCentral logging page. Would you be able to add the Bullhorn note templates into the RingCentral logging page and note taking screen during calls as well?
  • Populating the notes screen in Bullhorn - when you are on a contact page or candidate page in Bullhorn, you can click on the actions menu then add note to open Bullhorns note page. Our previous phone provider would populate this page instead of having something like RingCentrals logging page for notes. The reasoning for opening Bullhorns note page is so that we can use at-mentions and the note templates, so if you are able to add those features to the logging page and note page during calls, then there would be no desire to populate Bullhorns note page instead of the RingCentral logging page.
  • Auto/Power Dialer - is this a feature that you offer? I believe there is something similar with the contact center license, but we have the ex licenses and use the app connect extension because of the Bullhorn integration.

Hopefully that makes sense, if not I would be happy to try to explain further or set up a video chat so I can show you what I’m talking about.

Thank you again!

@JKrupski The VM drop feature is not in a state that it can be shared… yet. I need to loop back with the team to see what it would take to release that. The feature though is more of a hack if I am being completely honest. It works by setting up a special extension that you forward phone calls to. As soon as you are ready you would click a “VMD” button which would transfer the call to an extension. The extension could be configured with multiple possible messages to be played back. You would click the VMD button, select a message, and click continue. The call would be transferred and the appropriate message played after the beep. @PhongVu is the creative engineer who  prototyped the solution, which I am hoping the Labs team can pick up this quarter.

Regarding populating the notes screen - from App Connect, once the call has been logged, you can click the “View log details” option under the more menu for that call to open BH to that note. You can then edit it and @mention whomever you need. Perhaps we can add an option to auto-open this page after the log has been created. I am not sure we will have the ability to send the notes content to a new note form in BH. One HUGE risk though is that if you edit the log from within App Connect, AC might overwrite whatever notes you may have added. We would need to work on some way to preserve any notes a user many have added manually.
