RingCentral provides multiple API endpoints to access your communication history, depending on the type of communication you wish to audit.

Auditing Phone Calls

To review a history of your company's phone calls, use the Call Log API. The Call Log provides a detailed record of all inbound and outbound calls, including call routing between extensions.

Auditing SMS, Voicemail, and Fax Messages

The Message Store API stores all telephony-based messages sent or received, including:

  • SMS messages

  • Voicemail messages

  • Faxes

  • Pager messages (rarely used)

Auditing Team Messaging Conversations

For messages sent via Team Messaging, use the Team Messaging Compliance Export API. This API provides a complete export of your chat history. Note that due to processing time, exports can only be requested a limited number of times per day.

By utilizing these APIs, you can efficiently audit your communication history across different RingCentral services.
