Stay Informed: Set up RingCentral Service Status Notification for Real-Time Updates!

We know that the status and functionality of your RingCentral products is crucial to keep your business running smoothly. We've prepared this step-by-step guide with information to stay up to date with RingCentral Service Status and ensure you have real-time information if an incident should occur. What is a Service Status Notification? It is a subscription page inside your RingCentral Online account which allows Administrators to sign up any User on their system to receive service-impacting issue notifications via email and/or SMS. How to set it up? Log in to your RingCentral online account . Click Admin Portal . Go to Users , then User list and select a user. Select the features to be monitored and the notification type: By Email or By SMS . System status notifications are sent to the email and/or mobile phone number set in User Details . Click Save . NOTE : In order to receive system status notifications by email and/or SMS, the user must have a valid email address and mobile phone

We received a lot of great questions, and while we couldn't answer them all live, we’ve compiled responses to the most frequently asked ones here. Workflow Builder David - Is there an AI assistant available for auto SMS replies? There will be soon! When composing an auto-reply in the settings of the RingCentral desktop application, you’ll soon have access to an AI assistant that can help generate and refine SMS messages. Stay tuned for updates! Hilary - We don’t currently use SMS in RingCentral or record calls. Does this mean Workflow Builder has no use case for us? Currently, Workflow Builder is primarily focused on SMS use cases, so you may not find an immediate use case. However, we’re actively expanding its capabilities to support broader functions beyond SMS. A global release is planned for late May or early June, which will include additional functionality. *Good morning - The RingCentral Operations teams implemented a fix last evening and internal metrics are suggesting service restoration as of this morning. We are maintaining the yellow status on our Status Site so as to not change it to green prematurely while still monitoring. Our teams have monitored stability throughout last night into today. Experiencing SMS send failures? What customers need to know about TCR/ SMS registration requirements.

If your business is being blocked from sending SMS messages, then you could be out of compliance with carrier SMS registration requirements. On February 3, 2025, aggregators operating on behalf of US mobile carriers began enforcing the blocking of unregistered outbound SMS traffic. This blocking affects non-mobile originating business SMS providers across the industry. Since 2022, mobile carriers have required businesses sending non-mobile originating SMS to register their brand and SMS use case (campaign). This includes completing registration through their service provider (CSP), meeting strict requirements set by mobile carriers and Direct Connect Aggregators (DCAs), and receiving approval from the mobile carriers to send messages to consumers on their mobile network. This registration requirement is part of the efforts being taken by the mobile carriers to prevent unwanted messaging. Failure to comply with these requirements means that a business will have their SMS traffic blocked
