Thank you to everyone who attended our recent webinar! We received a lot of great questions, and while we couldn't answer them all live, we’ve compiled responses to the most frequently asked ones here.



Workflow Builder

David - Is there an AI assistant available for auto SMS replies?

There will be soon! When composing an auto-reply in the settings of the RingCentral desktop application, you’ll soon have access to an AI assistant that can help generate and refine SMS messages. Stay tuned for updates!

Hilary - We don’t currently use SMS in RingCentral or record calls. Does this mean Workflow Builder has no use case for us?

Currently, Workflow Builder is primarily focused on SMS use cases, so you may not find an immediate use case. However, we’re actively expanding its capabilities to support broader functions beyond SMS. A global release is planned for late May or early June, which will include additional functionality. Follow the Workflow Builder community for updates.

Teresa - Can Workflow Builder generate reminders for outstanding tasks created in Workspace?

Yes, this use case will be supported, and we’re working on a template for it. However, there may be some initial limitations before we achieve a seamless, turn-key solution. We’ll provide more details as we finalize the necessary features for release.

Rodney - Which SMS campaign types qualify? You mentioned Automated or Mixed, but those aren’t options when adding a campaign.

Sorry, in the webinar I spoke of "campaign types." However, the form has changed since and my knowledge is out of date. Speaking with our operations team they clarified for me that when you add a use case to your application, be sure to mention that automation will used within the context of the use case. It is also advisable to include examples of the kinds of automation you intend to create.

Corinne Lattimer - I was referred to BeeTexting for large-scale SMS broadcasts. How does that compare to the High Volume SMS tool you mentioned?

BeeTexting is a more comprehensive and supported solution for large-scale SMS broadcasts, and we recommend it for this use case. The High Volume SMS Labs product is a budget-friendly alternative, but it may be discontinued in favor of BeeTexting. Courtney - Is Workflow Builder currently available to most users? Is it an additional subscription?

Workflow Builder is available to most RingCentral customers in the U.S. and can be accessed via the Workflows tab in the RingCentral desktop app. It is currently free, and some features will remain free. However, we do plan to introduce a monetization model in the future, likely based on custom workflow usage or access to advanced administrative features.

Lazaro - Will RingSense-generated AI notes integrate with Salesforce’s lead or contact notes field?

Yes, this is on our roadmap! Our goal is to enable automated logging of AI-generated notes across all CRMs we support. However, please note that this feature will require a paid RingSense license.
