Call recording from members of group

"Group managers can only view the Call Log of Users who are members of his User group"

I am using the REST API and logging into the system with a group manager account to limit extensions of interest to the accounts in the group. However, when I retrieve the accounts, I am given extensions outside of the group. Is this expected?

If it is the list extensions endpoint, it is not controlled by a permission and basically, any user extension can call that endpoint.
