HubSpot Contact Creation: 'Caller +1' Handling

Are there more granular ways to handle Contact creation for the integration aside from the single setting in the Integration Console? 

Currently facing an issue with the volume of Contacts being created in this fashion. I know it’s related to how we have the integration set to ‘Create Contact with Phone Number’.

Our SDRs may create a new Contact using the same number as the integration created. I then have to merge any of those Contacts with the integration ‘Caller +1’ contact manually then bulk delete the rest. 

I’m wondering if there’s a smoother way to handle this or more granularly control the Contact creation. We’re still relatively new to both RC and HubSpot this year so there’s a lot of learning, growth & iteration on our end. But ideally, we could preserve the call log/history while preventing these duplicates from appearing. 

As a tangential question, our internal calls are being logged in HubSpot as well as our main company number. Is there a way to exclude that number from being logged? We have duplicate contact records that are all ‘Caller +1[Company Number]’
