The most recent updated of Ring Central removed the keypad button command that brought the keypad to the front of your window while the keypad is in a popout window.

Now, the only way to get to the keypad is through the taskbar or your window switcher. The keypad area only provides a “reattach” command if in popout mode. The command button before this update was always available above the Phone command bar and made it easy to show and hide the keypad while in a popout window.

Please work to add the command button back as it improved efficiency and workflow.

As a follow up to this. I noticed that there is still a button that provides this function, but it was moved to a new location. Instead of being in the left sidebar with the phone tab for call, voicemail, etc - it is now in the top right of the entire window near the “+” sign and has the keypad symbol as well.

This works as intended and just took some searching to see that the button moved within the UI.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about the keypad button!

It sounds like the recent change threw you off a bit at first but totally understandable. We're really glad to hear you were able to track it down! Yep, you're right, the keypad button has been moved to the top-right corner near the "+" icon, but it's still rocking the same keypad symbol.

We know UI updates can take a little time to get used to, so we really appreciate you taking the time to look around and let us know how it impacted your workflow. Feedback like yours helps us better understand how these changes affect real users, and we’ll definitely pass it along to our product team.

Thanks again for being such an engaged member of the RingCentral Community!
