Hi,
First, Happy New Year! Second, please excuse my English.
I’m having a major issue installing RingCentral on multiple PCs in my company, and maybe others have seen this before.
On Windows 10 computers, I install ringcentral.exe (not the MSI), and all features work fine (Meetings, Chat, etc.) — except for calling. Calls don’t work in the desktop app but do work through the Chrome extension.
When I try making calls from the web app at app.ringcentral.com, I have the same problem. Even after uninstalling the Windows app and the Chrome extension, the issue remains in the web app.
I don’t receive any error messages — the call starts and then drops after a few seconds.
Here’s what I’ve tested:
-
On the same computer and same Windows user account, if I launch Windows 10 Sandbox, calls via app.ringcentral.com work fine with the same RingCentral account, microphone, and speakers.
-
If I launch the web app using a different Windows user account, I still have the same problem.
-
If I use the same RingCentral user account on a different PC (one that doesn’t have this problem), everything works fine.
The issue occurs on laptops, desktops, AD accounts, local accounts, on a network with a firewall, and even on a home network.
If anyone has any idea what might be going on, I’d really appreciate the help — I’m stuck!
Thanks in advance,
