We are getting ready to switch our current provide to Ring Central. Our current provider allows us to page all desk phones at once. A companywide page to all users is what we need. Currently it appears this is not possible in Ring Central? It's limited to 25 devices/users that can be paged at once.

Is this true? Only 25 users max can be paged at once?

Hi @JKHDS, yes, RingEX™️ supports up to 25 phone desks and paging devices per one Paging group.

This is unfortunate, it seems like such a trivial limitation. This is something we are going to need to consider before swapping to Ring as a provider.

To clarify, the question I know there is a limit of 25. I want to ensure I’m understanding your response. You are saying there is no way to increase this limit or work around it in any way?

Creating multiple groups of 25 for all devices in the company and paging them in order is not a solution that would work for us either.

Hi, sorry for the late response, as I had to confirm about this.

There is a feature called multicast paging that allows you to page more than 25 devices. However, please note that the devices must support multicast paging in order to function properly.

Here are also some resources that may help you.

We received the Poly Edge E350 from you.

We received the Poly Edge E350 from you.

Upon checking, this device is compatible, but I recommend contacting Sales, and connect with Solutions Engineer to confirm if a multicast solution fits your use case. Keep in mind that multicast has limitations, such as requiring all devices to be on the same network and possibly needing a custom configuration, which could involve additional costs.

Thank you for all the information this really helps! At least we know there is a potential solution to this, and we don’t need to swap the phones we just received. The network issue limitations we can work around.

Thanks!
