We have several offices that we have a phone number we ported over with. I would like all the phones in the same office to have that main number as a ring out number. Right now it won’t let me pick a number that has already been assigned to a phone.

RC doesn’t fill in all the fields when you create an extension - and there are mis-labeled fields as well.  We’ve asked them on numerous occasions to relabel and fill in…. alas, it hasn’t been done in over four years.

The area that controls that is the ‘Alternate Caller ID’ is for the RC Apps outgoing number.

 

 

The ones in green get filled in when you create a user; however, these two fields in yellow, for some reason, never get populated when you create a user.

The Alt caller ID will be the one you see in the App when you go to make a call:
 

 

You can also set up a Template to apply to specific sites, and override the user settings with the number you want to use.  There’s also a Role setting that will make it so users can NOT change that number - at least RC did one thing right.  ;)
