HUD RingCentral Contacts are intermittently missing after being created in RingCentral the day before.

Please try these recommended troubleshooting steps.

1. Perform a Manual Refresh

Sometimes the HUD application relies on cached data and doesn't immediately "see" the updates made in RingCentral.

  • Log Out Completely: Fully sign out of the HUD interface rather than just closing the window or tab.

  • Clear Cache/Restart: If you are using the web-based version, clear your browser cache. If you use the desktop application, quit the program entirely and restart it.

  • Log In: This action forces the API to re-sync and pull the most recent contact list from the RingCentral servers.

2. Verify Contact Visibility and Location

The HUD typically pulls from specific directories. If a contact is saved in the wrong category, it may not appear in your display.

  • Check the RingCentral Web Portal: Log in to your account via a browser to view your master contact list.

  • Review Contact Privacy: Ensure the missing contacts are not marked as "Private" or stored in a restricted sub-folder.

  • Directory Alignment: Confirm that the contacts are saved in the main "My Contacts" or "Company" directory, as HUD is often configured to only sync with these primary folders.
