When I call my clients, it shows up as spam on their phones. How do I fix this?

Hi @MasseyLaw,

While there's no single magic button to fix this, here's what often helps our customers:

  • Ask Clients to Save Your Number: The best defense is for clients to add your number to their phone contacts. Phones rarely flag numbers from contacts.

  • Check Your Caller ID Name (CNAM): Make sure your business name appears correctly as your Caller ID. You can check this in your RingCentral Admin Portal under your phone number settings. A clear, recognizable name helps. For more details on how to check our update your CNAM, click HERE.

  • Vary Call Patterns: If you're making a ton of calls quickly, especially with short durations, it can look suspicious to spam filters. Try to vary your calling pace.

  • Report Incorrect Flagging: For persistent issues with a specific carrier (like Verizon or AT&T), you (or your client) can sometimes report the incorrect spam label directly to that carrier.

These steps can significantly improve how your calls are seen by receiving phones.
