Has anyone come across an option for when porting in a number to a new RC account and enabling SMS sooner due to the delay in TCR? We can't have this huge delay (up to 20 days) when new RC accounts open and waiting on TCR. If a customer was using SMS a day ago with an exiting number then ports over to RC there could be up to a 20 day delay, this is not good for their customers. RC should allow a 30 day grace period for port in numbers while waiting on TCR.

We understand your concern, and this is what we would suggest:

1. As soon as you have an account in RingCentral, please start the TCR brand and campaign process. Registration a campaign takes most of the time(3-5 business days and sometimes more), but you can work with Sales or support to get that expedited.

2. As long as you have a registered brand and campaign, all you would need would be to link the ported numbers (as soon as they are ported to RC). Normally linking numbers to a TCR campaign is a matter of minutes.

In other words, there are way to minimize this SMS outage, if you plan ahead for submitting the TCR registration (as you don't need numbers to be there to submit the registration). Also, do contact support/ or your rep in case help is needed, as they can guide you through the process with minimal outage.
