Our company migrated to RC about 3 months ago and are still having persistent issues with outbound calls being marked as spam. We ported over numbers from a lot of different providers but nearly all my users are now back to using the same phone numbers they used to have and have their Outbound Caller ID set to their respective company/office number. We are also using a Custom Caller ID but that doesn’t even show up when I’ve tried calling my own phone or others, just the company number that’s set as outbound.
Despite this, they are still being marked as spam by our customers. I have two questions.
1. Is there a simple step I’ve overlooked to prevent this issue from happening?
2. If not, it looks like my last resort would be to try the Free Caller Registry. I’ve downloaded the cnam list from our RC account already. When I register does each number need to have the same Display Name (aka the Custom Caller ID)?
I’d prefer to have the display name match the given office location since we’ve got regional brands so I don’t mind editing the display names before I submit but I wanted to make sure that affected things before committing the time to do so.
