I’m receiving this message recently.  It is new as prior to a few days ago I could send pictures.

Pixel 9, Android version 15, RingCentral App version 25.2.35.450029

I attempt to send any picture, either from gallery or taken directly through the app this message is displayed.  This is a new issue and I’m trying to figure out if this is a setting that changed or if there is some new restrictions I’m unaware of.

Hi @Boudroux,

There haven’t been any new updates or settings changes from our Product Team related to this, but here are a few things that might be causing the error:

  • MMS size limit: RingCentral only allows up to 1.5MB for picture messages sent via regular text (MMS), even though you can send much larger files (up to 5GB) in RingCentral’s in-app messaging. If your photo’s too big or can’t be compressed properly, that might be the issue.

  • Android 15 updates: The new Android version has tighter privacy rules, which might be affecting how the RingCentral app accesses your photos and sends them.

Here are a few quick things you can try:

  • Check app permissions: Go to Settings > Apps > RingCentral > Permissions and make sure access to photos and videos is allowed.

  • Resize or send in-app: Try shrinking the photo to under 1.5MB or, if the other person uses RingCentral too, send it through the app's internal chat (which allows larger files).

  • App refresh: Clear the app’s cache and data (Settings > Apps > RingCentral > Storage), or try reinstalling the app.

If none of that works, it’s best to reach out to RingCentral Support so they can look into it further.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply.  My phone updated to Android 16 and the problem seems to have been resolved.  I’m now able to send photos and messages as before.  Not sure but it’s working.

Yay! Glad to hear it’s working now! 🎉 Looks like it just needed a quick update. 😊

If you found my comment helpful, would you mind marking it as the Best Answer? That way, it can help others too! 🙌✨

Thanks @Boudroux😉
