Does App Connect sync with both contact and candidate records in Bullhorn? I only see a contacts setting in the extension tool.

Aaaaaah. Yes. I think I understand what prompted you to ask this question. It is this:

This “Contacts” tab is your RingCentral Address Book. It does not refer to Bullhorn Contacts. I suppose we could signal that visually a little bit better in the icon we use.

But to summarize: yes, App Connect works with both Candidates and Contacts (and soon Leads as well). But you will not necessarily find or access those people through App Connect’s Contacts tab -- unless of course you have added the person to your RingCentral Address Book.

We decided not to show a CRM’s contacts in this tab with the reasoning that the user of App Connect is already in the CRM where they can access those records (perhaps more easily even).

@backoffice To answer your question, I need to dissect your word choice slightly. I apologize.

First, yes, App Connect works with both Contacts and Candidates when matching contacts to entities within Bullhorn. In the future, we hope to add support for Leads as well.

However, you asked about “syncing.” If by syncing you mean, “does App Connect sync contacts and candidates within the RingCentral address book,” the answer is no. In fact, App Connect does not yet download or synchronize contacts with any CRM into RingCentral directly. The contacts we maintain are all cached in each user’s browser. It may appear sometimes that there is syncing going on, but not in the way most people think.

Thanks for your help! I just wanted to know if when you have calls, will it recognize and log calls/notes for both Contact records and Candidate records in Bullhorn.

I only see a contacts setting in the Unified CRM App Connect extension tool.

Hi,

I am actually talking about the settings and the guide. In the settings, there is only a section in the settings for inbound/outbound calls for contacts. Additionally, the guide indicates that each contact must have a a company attached or it will make a placeholder company. Candidates in bullhorn are not attached to companies. I want to know if RingCentral extension works with adding notes to candidate records for candidates as well.

@backoffice Yes it does. It supports creating notes for contacts and candidates.

I suggest you try it out. It is free to use, and only takes 1-3 minutes to install and connect to Bullhorn. Just install it and try to log a call via the extension. You will quickly discover how it works.
