This is a great question, and one we hear often.
While App Connect does support the sending and receiving of SMS through its own interface, sending SMS messages from within Redtail using your RingCentral phone numbers is not currently supported.
Unfortunately, this limitation is not something we can address directly. While we'd love to see this functionality made available, only Redtail can enable integration with RingCentral for SMS messaging within their platform. We've long encouraged them to consider this, and hearing from users like you can make a real difference in helping them prioritize it.
