I set up the connection for HubSpot in integration console - but don’t notice any changes or reflections on my HubSpot integration.

The Integration Console is where we plan for admins to manage and maintain their various integrations with RingCentral.

The primary feature that exists today for trial is called Activity Sync or server side logging.

What does that mean exactly? Well - we have two types of logging for our HubSpot users today:

Client-Side Logging using RingCentral for HubSpot

  • Happens inside the RingCentral for HubSpot app (desktop, browser, or mobile).
  • Logs calls instantly when you make or receive them through the app.
  • Captures important details like call notes, dispositions, and outcomes.
  • Ensures you have real-time tracking of your interactions in HubSpot.
  • Example: You call a contact directly from the RingCentral dialer inside HubSpot. The call is logged immediately with details like duration, call notes, and call outcome.

Server-Side Logging using RingCentral Activity Sync

  • Happens in RingCentral’s cloud system, ensuring all calls are logged—even if you don’t use the HubSpot app.
  • Captures calls from any device—desk phones, mobile apps, or softphones.
  • Ensures no calls are lost, even if you take them outside of HubSpot.
  • Example: You answer a call from your RingCentral desk phone or mobile app, and even though you weren’t in HubSpot at the time, the call still gets logged.

TLDR: Setup Integration Console for users to log calls even if they don’t have the in-app integration phone dialer installed. It will log calls automatically through the backend - but no manual dispositions (notes, associations, etc) can be selected.
