We have just replaced our phone system with RingCentral and I am looking for some assistance with how to play incoming call ringers through our wired PA system.
We are a manufacturing facility and have a phone for “incoming emergency calls” (family members needing to reach an employee on the floor etc...). During the night shift there is no one near said phone so I would like to figure out a way to have the ringer play over our PA system.
Our current setup includes the following:
- Algo 8301 Paging Adapter; connected to:
- Valcom V-2001a Amplifier (in one facility)
- Followed this guide to connect it for paging
- NORELCO TPA-40 (in second facility)
- Connected via an audio jack
- Valcom V-2001a Amplifier (in one facility)
- The “emergency phone” line is assigned to a Polycom VVX350 phone that is on the plant floor
I’ve asked RingCentral support if it’s possible to play a ringer through the Algo when a call is incoming, they said that it wasn’t. So I’m looking for some brainstorming ideas on how else this can be achieved. If more hardware is needed, that is acceptable.
Thanks!
