Polycom VVX 400 Admin Password stops working after provisioning

I have set the admin password prior to provisioning but after provisioning it no longer works on the phone. Provisioning has obviously blocked access to the admin of the phone since the Advanced menu has nothing more than change the password but it does nothing. I would like to log into the web interface and back up the configuration and make changes. The standard passwords do not work. 123, 456, 789 and I have seen 7227 and blank as possibilities. Is there a known password or a place in the admin portal to see one?

This is normal behaviour; most cloud providers will overwrite a phones admin password to

  • a) keep it locked to their platform
  • b) stop users from breaking their phone

Solution to this is to request the password from RC.

For the Poly’s the normal ‘456’ is replaced with ‘789’

@Joe Cache As I said in my post, none of the normal passwords work to access the admin page on the phone web interface for admin access.
