Hi There,

I would like to set up a webhook that sends the call transcript to a make.com URL which is triggered based on the call being over a certain amount of time.

Is the this possible and if so can you send over some guidance on how to do this?

Thanks,
Sam

@OptimumBots Great idea. Right now transcripts are not available through Workflow Builder, but that feature is coming in Q3 with new RingSense workflow triggers. Automator (Workflow Builder’s predecessor) should be able to do this more easily by using the transcribe media action. Automator is currently closed to new customers, but if you contact us privately via a community message, we may be able to unlock your account to experiment with this.

@ByrneReese Thanks for your guidance! I'm setting up an automation for a client with around 60 agents using RingCentral. I plan to use AI to analyse calls for compliance by searching for keywords and phrases. Would it be possible to webhook the audio file and I can integrate it with another application for transcription? Or could you give them access to Automator, or do you have other suggestions?

@OptimumBots Automator may not be the best way to solve this problem in the short term. The events you would need are not yet supported. But this could be accomplished using the REST API with little to no problem.

The API only supports transcripts created by RingSense currently. Are you a RingSense customer, or are you wanting access to the transcripts created by AI Assistant? If you are using AI Assistant, there is no way to gain access to those transcripts programmatically.

A potentially unrelated question - does your client use a CRM? There is another product which could give you access to the transcripts you need.

@ByrneReese Not sure what package the client’s on, but I’d guess it’s one of the higher tiers - cold calling is core to their business, and they’ve got about 60 agents. I know they can access transcripts, but I’m not sure if that’s through the AI Assistant. What I do know is they save hard copies of all audio files on their own servers (not sure about the transcripts).

Great that the REST API supports it, but I was hoping the transcript could be triggered based on call length. Any way to fire it off using a custom webhook outside Automator?

They’ve got a CRM, but it’s custom-built in-house - would rather not go down that road if we can avoid it.

@OptimumBots Not that I am aware of.
