RingCentral App Connect and Netsuite Integration

Hello Support,

I have completed our RingCentral and Netsuite integration and I have a questions regarding the information that the RingCentral Browser extension displays in the NS contacts that it finds. Currently, the extension displays the name of the Customer with something like this “custjob - ####” the number portion being different for different customer records. 

This custjob - ##### doesn’t match the customer number in NS. This makes it difficult to log calls to the correct customer records when multiple records are attached to the same phone number.

 

Is there a way to display the NS Customer number instead of the custjob in the browser extension?

Also, during my demo of this feature, I was shown a setting that allowed me to change the netsuite record where the log would be created (Customer, Vendor). I do not see this option in the browser extension. Was this removed?

Hi ​@juan-sanchez ,

  1. We display the internal ID of Customers or Contacts alongside the Contact Name. These internal IDs are used to access the associated Call Logs..
  2. Currently we only support Customer and Contact type Contacts , You can check under Settings → NetSuite options → Entities to search

I wonder if the can be set to display customer numbers instead of Internal customer ID. This would be much helpful when a phone is related to multiple customer records.
