Does RingCentral have a Clio integration for law firms?

Clio is one of the most popular cloud case management systems for attorneys. Vonage, Nextiva, Smith ai and jive (and the list is growing) all have integrations that will log calls, messages and time entries into Clio. Why none from RC? RC customers will be leaving if RC can't adopt this much-needed integration.

This is an older question, but I wanted to chime in to make sure people are kept up to date. RingCentral has had a Clio integration for sometime, available through our Unified CRM extension

There are third-parties who provide a Clio integration as well, the ion8 Connector for Clio comes immediately to mind.

Rest assured - a solution for Clio and RingCentral users exists!

There seems to be a connection for Clio Manage, but not for Clio Grow. Is it possible to create a connection for Clio Grow. That would help alot

I just added the integrated RingCentral for clio extension. However, none of my contacts are showing in the app. I have hundreds of contacts in my contacts list on the main RingCentral app and on my phone, but the CRM popup does not recognize any of the numbers because the only contacts on that extension are the users of RingCentral in our firm and extensions. How do I sync my RingCentral contacts to the new extension?

@drmar Great idea. We should look into how easily we might be able to adapt our Clio Manage integration to Clio Grow. You might also want to reach out to ion8. They specialize in providing integrations into the legal industry, and may have a solution available today. https://ion8.net/

So App Connect does not yet physically synchronize contacts between RingCentral and Clio. Meaning it does not download Clio contacts into RingCentral, or vice versa.

What it does do is this:

  • It makes every phone number in Clio clickable so that you can easily initiate communications with any Clio contact.
  • It looks up contacts in Clio when you receive a call, and opens Clio to the corresponding contact in Clio for the user to have better awareness of who they currently talking to.

Something to be aware of: Clio’s API is terribly limiting and making the above work reliably does take some extra configuration. That is discussed in great detail in our documentation:

https://ringcentral.github.io/rc-unified-crm-extension/crm/clio/#setting-up-phone-number-matching-to-properly-match-contacts

And we have some solutions in the work to make this process easier - by allowing people to manually associate phone calls with contacts by name within Clio.

If you need assistance, our support team can help, or you can post your own topic in the community, and I can help as well.
