IS TCR REGISTRATION A SCAM?

I have been submitting applications since Nov 24 and have had all of them rejected. The moving target of what is required and the lack of details on how to fix the problem are maddening. I spoke to someone in January and luckily they let me know about the updated requirements and had me update them. This was 1/8/25 and I am still waiting to get an approval but expecting a rejection. We don’t send mass texts, just conversations with customers, this is beyond frustrating.

I signed my contract with RingCentral back in October of last year.  It’s been four months, now, and I STILL can’t use SMS with the service.  I’ve been through calls too numerous to count with representatives in the TCR registration support team and have submitted three registration attempts.  My third and most recent attempt came back as “not approved” yesterday.  The support team folks always try to help, but it never works.

I had to move my company website to a new host, so I could have the opt-in language and other features added to be in compliance.  This cost me thousands of dollars.

To make matters worse, the verbiage used to relay the reasons for not being approved is vague and meaningless.  I have no idea what to do at this point.  I still can’t text message my clients which is all I need to be able to do.  I’m not trying to send mass SMS campaigns or anything like that.

How do I get in touch with this Brian Miller guy or anyone else that can get this thing expedited and going for me?

100% agree with all the complaints listed above.  This has been our experience as well. Significant and frustrating waste of our company resources trying to get this approved.

After so many trial and errors I was finally connected with the right team that guided me to get the job done! I cannot tell you how happy I am that all my efforts were finally validated on this day 01/22/2025. 

After a year trying to get this approved it finally happened, I urge users and people alike to reach out to the community moderator Mary if you are struggling just like I was. She was very helpful in setting this into motion and without her nothing would have happened. 

I am finally convinced that this is not a scam and that carriers are just being very stringent right now but if you connect with the right people they will make it happen for you! Just listen and be willing to make some changes.

@BeckyH Is there any way you all would be able to help me? I have been dealing with exact same issues as this user. Rejected 8 times. Modified sites multiple times, assured multiple times but still rejected.
