In the RingCentral App, there is a setting under Notifications and Sounds => Email Notifications => Direct Messages => Receive email notifications for direct messages. The setting is enabled, but does not actually send the emails for received/sent direct messages.


This function would be extremely beneficial to our firm, as all internal communication must be retained for compliance purposes. We use an email retention service, so the email notifications for direct messaging would allow us to properly retain direct messages, and allow the entire firm to utilize the great direct messaging system in the RingCentral App.
