Logging calls and SMS as tasks in Insightly?

​@ccraig That capability is not currently supported as you know. I would like to learn more about the thought process here. I think of tasks as very different than events. A phone call feels like an event. If we overload the concept of a task, then what will AI create when it extracts actions items from a phone call’s transcript? It seems to me that tasks are really about tracking things to be done, not things that have happened. What do you think?

I agree, we also agree that events & tasks serve two different purposes! Our philosophy on tasks and events is simple. Tasks should lead to events and do not generate revenue. Events are activities that has the potential to generate revenue. Unscheduled inbound or outbound phone calls that dont have an agenda or scheduled intent can clutter calendars and reports. Every company is unique but that is our strategy around tasks/events!
