Submitting and Voting for Product Ideas

With our new Community platform comes a new Ideas platform, which is directly integrated into the current Product workflow. This is the platform our Product team uses internally. Start the process by selecting Share an Idea at the top of the Community or by going to ideas.ringcentral.com!

To get the most out of this new platform and our partnership with Product, we’ve put together a few guidelines and reminders about the idea submission and feature request process.

Search First

You have a great idea and can’t wait to share it-- take a moment to search and see if someone else has already posted this idea, and cast your vote for it. If you post something that has already been posted, it will be merged into the originally posted idea.

The Community team audits every idea to ensure that we are reporting the most accurate information to our Product team.

One Submission = One Idea

To make sure that your idea or feature request is prioritized appropriately, please only submit one idea per submission. This will help us move your ideas to the correct Product team for review. We welcome all your ideas! Send as many submissions as ideas and feature requests you have!

Follow the Request Template

We want to make sure we’re providing our Product Team with the most information we can about your idea or feature request. To make this a little easier, we’ve built a template to use when submitting a new idea.

Vote for Ideas you Like

Think an idea is helpful? Add your own use case in the comments section and give that idea a vote by clicking the vote square. We often report on most popular ideas based on votes, so make sure you vote via the button.

Comments like “+1” and “We need this too!” don’t count as a vote in the system, so it’s important to click the vote button if you want to support an idea.

We promise we do read every single idea!

We love to hear customer feedback, and always share your ideas with our product teams. Even if your post or comment doesn’t receive a response, it’s been viewed and audited.

Please note: there are no guarantees that your request will be developed. There is not a magic number of votes or comments that will get your request prioritized. The RingCentral Community Ideas platform is to understand use cases and to discuss and recognize challenges and possible improvements for RingCentral products.

We don’t share roadmap details

From time to time, we may share a general idea of where things land on our quarterly roadmap or when something can be expected to be rolled out. Note that priorities for product development shifts and ETAs may change without notice.

If the Community team gets an update from our Product developers, we’ll share what we can on the corresponding ideas. With our new platform, Product will be available to comment directly on ideas as well!

Some Reminders!

In an effort to keep things productive, please refrain from comments that are unhelpful or mean spirited. Any comments deemed as such may be removed without warning.

We understand that ideas and feature requests often come from a place of frustration with the product that do not fit with your specific use cases.

Remember - the Community team is a small group of human advocates working with the Product team on your behalf. Please be respectful and professional.

Our Community Terms of Use apply in the RingCentral Community Ideas platform.
