clicking call after inputting a call out number, but the app will not acknowledge that I am pressing call. computer desk top app - not allowing call out.

If the "Call" button on the desktop app is unresponsive, try the following steps:

  1. Restart the App:

    • Close the RingCentral Desktop App completely.
    • Reopen the app and try placing the call again.
  2. Clear App Cache:

    • Navigate to Help > Troubleshooting in the app.
    • Click Reset App Data to clear any cached data that might be causing the issue.
    • Log back in and check if the issue persists.
  3. Check for Updates:

    • Click your Profile > Check for Updates to ensure you’re running the latest version of the app.
    • Update the app if a new version is available.
  4. Ensure Permissions are Enabled:

    • Confirm that the app has the necessary permissions for audio, microphone, and other functions under your computer’s system settings.
  5. Reinstall the App:

    • Uninstall the app from your computer.
    • Download and install the latest version from the RingCentral website.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider submitting a Support ticket for further assistance. Be sure to provide them with details such as the app version, operating system, and steps to replicate the issue.
