Difficulty using my trading platform and App Connect 1.5.3
Since the recent update of RingCentral App Connect 1.5.3 I am having trouble with my trading platform. I use Chrome to connect to both Redtail (through which I use RingCentral App Connect 1.5.3) and Wealthscape. When placing trades via Wealthscape, the procedure is to enter all trade related information, click "Verify" and then "submit" to place the trade. Since the RingCentral App Connect 1.5.3 update, the "Verify" button is inoperable making it impossible to complete a trade. To test that it is the updated App Connect causing the issue, I used MSFT Edge (which does not have the RingCentral App Connect extension loaded) to connect to Wealthscape and was able to place a trade without issues. After doing this, I removed RingCentral App Connect 1.5.3 extension from Chrome, restarted, signed in to Wealthscape and was able to perform a trade without incident. Please fix this ASAP.

@michael-falkowski First, let me apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for your diligent sluething! We will research this and fix it ASAP. I am relatively confident this relates to us making App Connect’s click-to-dial feature work across all websites.
Thank you for you quick reply. Any idea of the timeline for a fix?
FYI: After similar sleuthing, it appears the extension is resulting in access to this website being blocked. Is there way I can remove the 1.5.3 version and load a prior version until this issue is resolved?
Hi @michael-falkowski The blocking issue for “protective” website should not from App Connect. I tried to open it with a new browser without App Connect, and get same result as you. It should be blocked from network carrier or the website server. You can try to disable App Connect in “chrome://extensions/” page and see if it is still blocked.
@michael-falkowski
There’s a bug in existing version that injects our script to all pages. It will be fixed in next Monday’s release.
For all the issues you encountered, please refer to Embbnux has suggested so to confirm whether it’s caused by App Connect. If disabling App Connect would solve it, most likely next Monday’s version would fix it.

The blocking issue for the protective website is most definitely from App Connect.
I noted in my original post the steps I took to determine if App Connect was the culprit, “To test that it is the updated App Connect causing the issue, I used MSFT Edge (which does not have the RingCentral App Connect extension loaded) to connect to Wealthscape and was able to place a trade without issues. My post regarding the protective website began, “After similar sleuthing . . . “ implying that I followed the same procedures as I did in coming to my Wealthscape conclusion.
Bottom line: I did disable App Connect in “chrome://extensions/” page and was able to log in to the protective website without issue.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please see my reply to Embbnux, I had already disabled App Connect in “chrome://extensions/” page to determine if the additional issue was indeed the cause of the trouble prior to posting.

Okay, it seems protective dot com blocked my IP directly. Even I use Safari browser, I get blocked.
Let’s see if App Connect 1.5.4 can help for this issue in your side. The plan release time is this Monday. You may need to update it after re-enabled and update manually.
It looks like 1.5.4 has fixed the problem. Thank you for your assistance!
